In the earlier stages of the internet we had web-logs which of course grew and transitioned into simply blogs, and now today business blogs! Just how did it happen that sites as obscure as web-logs evolve into a stand alone industry we refer to as the business blogging? Big time corporations and small time entrepreneurs alike are now successfully blogging to make money and the use of this platform for promotional purposes is only increasing. At what point did this shift take place and what occurred to encourage companies large and small, both online and off, to adopt this strategy?

Business blogging requires no technical skills and this is the primary reason many looking to start an online business choose this platform. Being able to realistically create a site and be live on the internet within half a day allows people the opportunity to start earning an income quickly. Although it should be noted that blogging to make money is something that does take some time since visitor loyalty must first be established.

Consumer Convenience

People now-a-days are all about automation and any other conveniences that make there lives ‘simpler’ and easier to manage. Growing Availability of Goods & Services

What came first the chicken or the egg? In this case who has driven the popularity of turning to the internet for many purchasing needs? Is it the availability that has attracted people or the people who have attracted the merchants? At this point who the hell cares because the ‘race is on’ and e commerce has never looked better, from a consumer and merchant point of view!

Business blogs have become as widely accepted as mom’s apple pie anymore, and for the reason we have discussed here today. The internet has opened up a whole new frontier for the human race as a whole allowing virtually anybody to start an online business. It has lower the barriers for everybody allowing free access to information and online entrepreneurial opportunities. This in turn has exposed everybody to creative ideas and innovations we may not seen otherwise. As the internet has ‘evolved’ so has the ways merchants market their goods and services. With so many organizations now blogging to make money, it seems apparent that this platform has gained popularity for its ease of use and interactive capabilities. Considering the growing acceptance of online commerce coupled with the effectiveness of blogs as marketing platforms, it is no wonder that the blogging business is booming.

So, here we are mid-way through the year 2010! Oh, how time flies! We have reached middle age and have little or nothing saved or invested for retirement. Hindsight is 20/20 vision; there are financial mistakes I wish I could go back and correct. I want to retire in 10 to 20 years, or less! I know that Social Security retirement funds might not be available in the future, and even if they are, those funds certainly will not come close to meeting my projected needs! What am I going to do now?


Does any of this sound familiar, or apply to you or a loved one? If so, I have some thoughts to share with you. You are not alone by any means!

Here are 3 items to keep in mind if you reach middle age without savings for retirement:

1. First, do not panic!

The worst thing you can do is panic and end up doing nothing. Although fear is a natural emotion

How will your partnership run on a day-to-day basis?  Will it be smooth, effective and efficient or will you have overlaps, confusion and dropped balls?

In my previous article, I talked about the first two steps in creating great business partnerships — the importance of doing your due diligence before selecting a business partner and of establishing roles and responsibilities.

The next three steps are equally important:

3. Define your decision making process.  How will both the day-to-day and major decisions be made?  Look at every aspect of running an organization, the myriad of decisions, their impact on the organization, and then define how those decisions will be made.  Will they fall under each partner’s functional area or will decision-making be shared?  How will differences of opinion be handled?  Partnership does not necessarily mean consensus and disagreements are inevitable, so know how you will deal with it before it happens.

4. Establish leadership role. Partnerships are not completely flat organizations.  They do have leaders.  Leaders play multiple roles and the partnership may have multiple leaders depending on the situation or task at hand.  Will you confer on everything or will you divide leadership roles. Perhaps one of you is more skilled at the strategic leadership required to run your company. What is the most effective leadership model for your organization?

5. Communicate, communicate, and then communicate some more.  Know and respect yours and your partner’s communication style.  How do you each best receive and process information?  How often should you be communicating?  About what?  Be aware of the quality of your communications—are you falling into the trap of “group think”?  Successful partners know how to cultivate healthy disagreement by challenging each other’s position in an effort to reach the best solution for the company.

  M & A shop, advancing to the second and third tier cities in China, 2005, full liberalization of retail trade, foreign investment in China’s retail market is not only offensive but also look sharp orderly; the impact of foreign capital, the domestic retail business seems to disarray, there has been great scale closed, M & A events.

Foreign investment trends

From the Commerce Department data show that January-September 2005, the Ministry of Commerce approved 554 new foreign invested commercial enterprises, set up 1130 stores, sales area of about 3,338,000 square meters. The business opened in 1992 since the end of 2004, the Ministry of Commerce has approved the establishment of foreign-funded commercial enterprises in total only 314, opened 3997 stores, 9.2 million square meters of business area.

later, Wal-Mart, Carrefour, Metro and other foreign retail giants have begun to adjust the way up shop in China, network layout, ownership structure, format selection business strategy.

September, Thailand Chia Tai Enterprises International Limited cost nearly 100 million dollar acquisition of Lotus in Beijing and Tianjin, 35% of the shares, the CP of the original holders of Beijing, Tianjin, the Lotus 65% of the shares, it’s easy to both Beijing and Tianjin Lotus are transformed into a wholly foreign-owned enterprise. According to Lotus development plans, the second half of Lotus Supermarkets in China to achieve all-round-owned. October, Kunming Carrefour’s “independence” in China, Carrefour opened a wholly-owned off.

Finally, the foreign retail companies become more flexible on format choice. July 23 this year, Wal-Mart in Beijing Shijingshan Sam’s Club stores ushered in the first non-member “Merry Open Day”, there is no membership card, consumers can go to member-type shopping experience. Subsequently, the Wal-Mart in Shenzhen, Fuzhou, two other stores also have Sam open day. Although Wal-Mart’s three Yetai have appeared in China, but in China, “retail first year” is all set up in supermarkets. Similarly, on the hypermarket Carrefour is only a soft spot for the “cold” the champion of its supermarkets, discount stores Dia.
